Ancient to the Future: Fluxus in Relation
Santa Fe has long served as a site of artistic relationships: between craft and conceptualism, land and institution, tradition and experiment. "Fluxus in Relation" takes this relational condition as our point of departure. Rather than treat Fluxus as a self-contained movement, we invite participants to examine Fluxus as a network of relations: to earlier artistic movements and contemporaneous practices, to peoples and publics, to technologies and institutions. What becomes visible when Fluxus is placed in dialogue with adjacent practices rather than framed as a singular category?
This unique gathering will include scholarly presentations, artistic works, and hybrid formats that explore Fluxus as a relational phenomenon.
